I work with intuition and speed.
I think every material and every medium has a certain mode living within, which makes me experiment with it a lot. I like to be driven by the material and to be transformed by it.
Mostly working with liquid paint on paper, I have the tendency to include figures in my work. These creatures seem to emerge from the medium while they simultaneously deconstruct. They appear fast and leave even faster, as I try to hide them in the construction of the painting.
In the last few months, I have been experimenting with space and wooden objects lying around in my studio. My interest expands from the two dimensional to include installation as an experience and to open the question what painting can be.
